Qualitative Data Analysis Work Along
Computers for Workshop
The computer lab where this workshop is held has NVivo installed on all of the machines. You are most welcome to use one of the machines in the lab. NVivo is available for free for all UBC students. You can bring your own PC or MAC laptop with NVivo already installed:
Data for the Workshop
The work along sessions are meant to be a supportive space for you to analyze your qualitative data and ask instructors questions that come up as you conduct your analysis (for example, if you have doubts about how to analyze your data). Therefore, we strongly encourage you to bring your qualitative data to the session. If you don't have data to analyze but do have questions about qualitative data analysis, you are more than welcome to attend.
Workshop Description
Are you a graduate student conducting qualitative data analysis (QDA)? Are you using software (e.g., NVivo) for conducting QDA? Looking for a supportive environment for analyzing your qualitative data? Interested in connecting with other graduate students who are analyzing qualitative data as well as with NVivo specialists from UBC Library's Research Commons?
Join the Qualitative Data Analysis Work Along sessions to ask questions, share resources, and explore various analytic techniques, with guidance and support from Amir Michalovich and David Romero, Qualitative Data Analysis Graduate Assistants at UBC Library's Research Commons.
We will meet several times during the term for Qualitative Data Analysis Work Along sessions. All sessions will take place in Room 217, Koerner Library from 10 AM – 12 PM. Here is the full set of offerings coming up:
