Staying Current with Local Government

What does civic engagement mean to you? There are many ways to become involved in politics at the local level, but it can be challenging to identify opportunities. This workshop examines civic engagement and gives a brief overview of municipal government in British Columbia. Learn how to navigate sources like city websites, budgetary documents, bylaws, and open data, as well as local news sources, focusing on the City of Vancouver. Discover ways that you can become more civically engaged in your community.
