Introduction to blockchain research skills

This introductory session will first provide an overview of multiple intersecting disciplines which contribute to the emerging blockchain technology sector: distributed computing, cryptography, economics, game theory, and archival science. We'll then cover an example research methodology from each of these disciplines with a concrete use case in mind. Finally, we'll navigate online together to public blockchain ledger records, and learn how to verify certain types of information related to them.

Prerequisites: None. This workshop is intended for beginners.
