Finding the data: Mental health, addiction, homelessness
Join us for the first of four workshops on finding data about marginalized or underrepresented populations. In this first installment we will explore data sources related to mental health, addiction, and homelessness in Canada, BC, and Vancouver.
About the series
Indigenous Peoples, racialized groups, and people who identify as LGBTQ+ are often underrepresented or hidden in the datasets we rely on for research and planning. Data about mental health, substance abuse, and homelessness can likewise be difficult to find, particularly for marginalized populations. These workshops identify potential data sources and discuss some of the historical and social context that can make the data harder to find.
