Open Scholarship - Graduate Student Lightning Talks


UBC Library and CTLT are hosting lightning talks for graduate students for our annual Open Scholarship in Practice event (November 1 – 5, 2021). 

The week-long event offers a series of webinars, workshops, and presentations exploring the practice of open scholarship — from new tools that can increase the reproducibility of research, to new pedagogies that become possible when students and faculty members become co-creators engaged in meaningful, generative knowledge creation.

We are hoping to host graduate student lightning talks on open scholarship practices.

Lightning Talk Structure 

  • The event is 1 hour in length
  • The event is completely virtual and will be hosted via Zoom 
  • Each speaker will have 7 minutes to present

 

This event space will be updated with the speakers in October.
