Creating xml files from newspapers in oXygen

Are you curious about computational methods in the Humanities? Do you work with a variety of comparable texts and want to automate a search function, or categorize elements in a collection of texts? Do you just want a very approachable first insight into the digital scholarship in the Humanities? Then this workshop will be a great starting point for a first contact with computational methods! After this workshop, you will be able to identify the scope of projects which are applicable to text encoding, and you will be able to apply and produce a basic xml file for a newspaper, drama, poem or prose.

This even is part of a TLEF funded Digital Scholarship Workshop series.
