Using Scopus to find, analyze, and keep up with research in your field

With over 3 million new academic papers published each year across the globe, new tools are required to find and keep up with relevant research and researchers in your field. Scopus is an abstract and citation database that indexes 85M+ academic outputs across all areas of scholarly activity and enriches document records with metadata to facilitate finding and analyzing research. In this workshop, specifically tailored to graduate students and postdocs, we will cover how to find specific research, to identify potential collaborators and leading researchers, to prepare for systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and to set up e-mail alerts for specific journals and research topics. We will end by showcasing a few examples of advanced applications of the Scopus database to demonstrate its potential in advancing research.
