Automation and scripting in bash for absolute beginners
Abstract:
This in-person workshop will demystify the command line and get you started using Bash and Bash scripting.
Warning: you might find that working in the command line is actually really fun and addictive!
Prerequisites: none.
Software installation:
If your laptop runs Mac and Linux, you already have bash, and there is no need to install anything. If you are on Windows, we will provide guest accounts on our remote Linux system—please install an SSH client such as MobaXterm free Home Edition (from http://bit.ly/2O3ovMC) before coming to the workshop.
