Open pedagogy is the application of the concepts of open to the practices of teaching and learning. It can involve a blend of strategies and technology to empower students to have control and agency over their own learning. The UBC Wiki is an excellent tool that can enable student collaboration, host online discussions and support open assignments that involve students as co-creators of knowledge and learning resources. This session will explore different approaches to using the UBC Wiki for open assignments including best practices for course and project organization and enabling student collaboration.
