Video Assignments: Lessons Learned and Approaches

Having students create and share video-based resources is a growing open pedagogy practice. Join us for a one-hour in-person presentation featuring UBC Studios Producers presenting examples of how they have supported students and faculty on video-based assignments. By providing examples of how faculty have integrated UBC Studios into their teaching methods, both in-person and flipped-classroom approaches, you’ll be able to consider how you might approach using video-based assignments. Through open-conversation you will also discuss considerations of aligning student learning outcomes and assignment objectives and how video-based assignments may offer a new lens for students.

Facilitators:

  • Christopher Spencer, Supervising Producer & Team Lead, UBC Studio
  • Michael Sider, Producer, UBC Studios
