German and Germanophone Colonial Legacies: Ending the Silence Short Story Reading
Join us at Koerner Library for a reading of "My Imposter" by Sahib Johal, student in GMST 427. Stranded behind the Soviet frontline, a disturbed German officer and an African soldier serving the German war machine must form an unlikely duo in orer to make it back to safety. The reading will take place on Level 3, around the fireplace area.
This reading is part of the student-curated exhibition German and Germanophone Colonial Legacies: Ending the SIlence. UBC student researchers from the Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies (CENES) have curated this exhibition of essential questions that can help decolonize German cultural history and account for Germans’ role in colonial projects.
