DESCRIPTION:Information for Participants\n\nIf you have never opened R\, do 
 not know what R packages are\, do not know how to read files into R\, this 
 workshop is for you! At the end of this workshop you will:\n\n\n	Know what 
 R and RStudio are\n	Know what the parts of R Studio are called\n	Know how 
 to organize R code in an R script\n\n\nIf your expertise is a bit higher 
 than what is described above\, but you are still very new to R\, check out 
 the Beginner R Part 2 workshop on September 26\, 2024 at 1 pm.\n\nThis 
 workshop will be one hour long\, followed by an optional 30-minute practice 
 period to reinforce what you learned or consult with the instructors.

 \n\nAbout this workshop series\n\nBeginner R Part 1 is one in a series of R 
 workshops offered by the UBC Library Research Commons. Each one-hour sesson 
 introduces a particular task or application in R\, followed by an optional 
 30-minute practice period with support from the instructors. The series' 
 goal is to introduce participants to the data analysis and visualization 
 potential of R and to encourage further self-paced exploration. Other
