Systematic, Scoping & Related Reviews Workshop Series: Getting Started and Structured Searching

This workshop will help set you up for success when embarking on a systematic review/knowledge synthesis project. Topics to be covered in this session:

  • Understanding the review process 

  • Defining your question

  • Resources for developing a protocol 

  • Identifying and analyzing seed papers 

  • Creating a rigorous and reproducible search strategy

There will be time for hands-on searching using the relevant databases, including assistance from the presenting librarians, so please bring any questions you have!

Pre Work: In order to make the most of our time together, this interactive workshop recommends you complete pre-work, which can be found at https://guides.library.ubc.ca/KnowledgeSynthesis/workshops. This work will take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete.
