Put a License On It!
Join us for an interactive workshop where we will take educational resources used within the classroom and make them openly available for use and reuse.
In this session we will discuss assigning open licenses, assigning metadata, and making your resources shareable in a variety of UBC and non-UBC repositories, databases, and indexes. By the end of the session, you will have shared a resource and have the knowledge to continue the process of making your resources openly available.
To participate in the session, we ask that you bring resources you have created to work on preparing for openly sharing. The resources can include: lesson plans, test and quiz banks, videos, audio, animations, class handouts, presentations, etc.
In advance: Bring a computing device to this event to ensure you can fully participate. Laptops are available to borrow from the Library Service Desk.
Getting here: This event will be held in LIB 111. Enter the main entrance of the Library building on the Okanagan Campus. Turn right, go past the stairs and the elevator, and enter the door to your right.
Location details: There are gender-neutral, accessible washrooms on the main floor of the library, and gendered washrooms in the library lobby. The library front doors are automatic and accessible.
