Map Production with QGIS
This is an introductory workshop focusing on the fundamental concepts and skills needed to begin using QGIS to explore and analyze spatial data. It is also meant to help you understand how to get started composing a map document for print production. By the end of this workshop, attendees will have a basic understanding of spatial data, the QGIS graphical user interface, data attributes and symbolization, and how to publish a map for printing in a journal or report.
This workshop is designed for those with no experience using this software or GIS. It is taught by a graduate student in Geography with expertise in GIS and cartographic methods.
