CGRS M Proposal: Crafting a Compelling Research Story
This workshop is designed for students applying for the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Masters (CGRS M). Drawing on evidence-based research about successful grant proposals, the facilitator discusses particular elements of this written academic genre: audience, purpose, knowledge gap, competence claim, structure, style, and more. The workshop includes examples of successful UBC CGRS M research proposals, as well as dedicated time to write in community.
Facilitator: Dr. Xuan Zhang Centre for Writing and Scholarly Communication
Location: IKBLC, Level 3, Dodson Room and on Zoom. Registrants receive the Zoom link 1 day prior to the workshop.
