One-on-One Manuscript Consultation Sessions with Evelyn Lau

Get one-on-one feedback from award-winning poet and author Evelyn Lau in a personalized manuscript consultation session. These 30-minute sessions offer emerging and established writers the opportunity to receive constructive, professional feedback on their poetry or prose from one of Canada’s most respected literary voices.

Participants are invited to submit up to 10 pages of writing (poetry or prose) in advance. Evelyn Lau will provide thoughtful insight into your work’s strengths and areas for growth, with attention to craft, voice, and clarity.

Spots are limited and available only through registration.  Once registered, participants will be expected to submit their manuscript by Thursday, March 5th, at 5.00pm.  Each session is 30 minutes.

The Writer-in-Residence at UBC Library’s Irving K. Barber Learning Centre

The program is designed to support and promote literary excellence within our academic community.  Providing a unique opportunity for a distinguished writer to engage with students, faculty, and the local community through various enriching activities and events, UBC Library aims to foster a vibrant literary culture, encourage creative expression, and offer valuable insights into the writing process.
