Introduction to the tidyverse R package

This workshop presents some of the major tidyverse packages in R. At the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  1. Know what tidyverse is
  2. Understand the uses of data manipulation packages
  3. Have an idea of where to start looking for answers when manipulating your data

The workshop is one hour long, followed by an optional 30-minute practice period to reinforce what you learned or consult with the instructors. Workshop materials are available at https://ubc-library-rc.github.io/intro_to_tidyverse/

To participate fully you will need to install the latest versions of R and RStudio on your computer before the workshop:

 

About this workshop series

Introduction to the tidyverse R package is one of several R workshops offered by the UBC Library Research Commons. Each one-hour session introduces a particular task or application in R, followed by an optional 30-minute practice period with support from the instructors. The goal of the series is to introduce participants to the data analysis and visualization potential of R and to encourage further self-paced exploration.
