Looking to better understand academic freedom and how it applies to librarians and archivists? Join librarians and archivists from UBC and SFU for a virtual event that explores academic freedom provisions in our respective collective agreements. 

We’ll be joined by Deena Rubuliak (Executive Director, UBC FA) and Kumari Beck (SFU faculty and member of CAUT’s Academic Freedom and Tenure Committee). Familiar with each institution’s respective CA, these speakers will share an overview of our academic freedom provisions, with particular attention to applications and implications for librarians and archivists. 

This event has been organized by the Librarian and Archivist Committee of the UBC Faculty Association and members of the SFUFA Library and Archives Ad Hoc Committee. The event is open to current UBC FA librarians and archivists and SFUFA members in the Library and Archives.
