Designing Interactive OER and Course Content with H5P

Interactive content is one way to encourage learners to engage more deeply with the materials. This is where H5P comes in, providing a simple way to build that interactivity into your existing resources. H5P is a free, open-source tool that enables users to create a wide array of interactive teaching and learning elements to increase engagement within OERs and other course content. Currently, H5P contains over 50 interactive elements that can be used to embed self-check questions with immediate feedback, organize complex content into navigable interactive content, or bundle various media and activities into comprehensive, structured learning modules.

In this session, we will provide an overview of H5P, share important considerations for using it within open educational resources, and guide participants through the process of developing their own H5P content.
