Introduction to Voyant Tools
We will introduce Voyant Tools, a free suite of visual web-based set of tools for analysis of digital texts. Participants will get hands on experience applying common tools within Voyant to a literary corpus ranging from basic statistics about the documents and terms in a corpus to visualization of trends over time. While created with literary analysis in mind Voyant Tools can be used on any type of textual data and are particularly useful for initial exploration of a dataset.
No prior experience with text analysis is required.
This workshop is part of the Digital Toolkit workshop series presented by the UBC Library Research Commons.
