Tools and Workflows in QGIS, Part 2

This intermediate-level workshop is focused on common tools and workflows in QGIS. Part 1 will focus on setting up a QGIS project, editing layer attributes and properties, and employing common vector tools to answer spatial questions. Part 2 will introduce more advanced visualization tools, including the Temporal Controller function, radial flow maps, and the QGIS2Web plugin that converts your project into a web map.

Familiarity with the QGIS interface is prerequisite for this workshop.  However, attendance of Tools and Workflows Part 1 is not required in order to attend Part 2.

This workshop is taught by a graduate student in Geography with expertise in GIS and cartographic methods.

NOTE: Prior to the workshop date, please review our Introduction to Mapmaking with QGIS (https://ubc-library-rc.github.io/gis-mapping-intro/). Additionally, if you are new to QGIS, we recommend you review our workshop on Thematic Mapping with QGIS (https://ubc-library-rc.github.io/gis-thematic-mapping/) as well.
