SUMMARY:Introduction to Planet and Planet Explorer: How to Harness the Power of Daily Imagery
DESCRIPTION:This session is a non-technical introduction to Planet\, Planet 
 satellites\, Planet imagery and use cases. In this presentation you will 
 learn more about Planet satellites and the imaging sensors onboard. You 
 will also learn the different ways in which users can access Planet 
 imagery. Finally\, there will be a live demonstration of how to use Planet 
 Explorer\, our online tool to help you search and download Planet 
 imagery.\n\n\n	Introduction to Planet and Planet satellites\n	Introduction 
 to Planet Platforms and Integrations\n	Highlight of Use 
 Cases\n	Demonstration of Planet Explorer\n\n\nUBC students\, staff\, and 
 faculty can access Planet's PlanetScope and RapidEye satellite imagery 
 archive\, and Visual BaseMap for streaming and download through UBC 
 Library's electronic resources. Workshop attendees submitting a @ubc.ca 
 email when registering will be issued temporary Planet accounts to be used 
 during the workshop\, so no other action is required in order to 
 participate.\n\nThe physical location for this event does not have any 
 public computers available\, and so if you would like to follow along we 
 ask that you bring your laptop to the workshop.\n\nIn-person technical 
 office hours will immediately follow this workshop and attendees are 
 welcome to stay for in-person troubleshooting and support! However we ask 
 that you register separately for this session so we can plan accordingly:
