SUMMARY:Python Basics (5 of 5): Visualization and Communication
DESCRIPTION:\nPython Basics for Data Analysis Series\n\nThis series of
introductory workshops are intended for individuals with little to no
familiarity with Python or similar tools that rely on a scripted
environment. They are intended as a low barrier entry into the world of
 research computing through the Python
language.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVisualization and Communication (workshop 5 of
5): This session will introduce data visualization in Python and methods
for creating reproducible reports. Common visualizations including bar
charts\, histograms\, and scatterplots will be covered. Participants will
also learn to use Jupyter Notebooks to interweave narrative text and data
analysis to produce shareable reports.\n\nBy the end of this session\,
participants will be able to build\, annotate\, and customize common data
visualizations\, and create reproducible reports that combine code\,
 results\, and narrative text for
distribution.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQuestions? Please reach out to the Centre
for Scholarly Communication at csc.ok@ubc.ca.\n\nA full schedule of
workshops can be found at csc.ok.ubc.ca/workshops/
