SUMMARY:Understanding Through Comics Seventh Discussion
DESCRIPTION:Our seventh discussion will look at Gender and 2SLGBTQIA  
 Equity through the lens of Ducks: Two Years in the Oil Sands by Kate 
 Beaton. From January to March 2026\, Understanding Through Comics: A Comics 
 and Comics Journal Club will continue to host a series of meetings and 
 social events\, including a start-of-term welcome luncheon\, a series of 
 discussions\, one library visit\, one speaker\, and an end-of-term comics 
 making socials. We invite students\, staff\, and faculty from across the 
 university to join us in reading comics as entertainment\, research\, and 
 social change. We especially welcome folks new to comics.\n\nRegister here! 
 Please note this event is only open to UBC students\, staff and faculty.
